Welcome to Word Puzzles!
Word Puzzles is a site with a small, growing collection of free word games you can play right in your browser. There is no sign-up and nothing to install. Just open a puzzle, start playing, and your progress is saved locally so you can come back to it whenever you have a few minutes to spare.
Each game is built to be quick to pick up and easy to return to, whether you are after a relaxing way to unwind or a bit of a daily brain workout. The puzzles run just as smoothly on a phone or tablet as they do on a desktop, and several of them can be played in seven languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, and Portuguese.
The Games
Word Search
A grid of letters with words hidden in it. Pick a category, then drag across the grid to mark each word you find. Words can run in any direction, including backward and diagonal, and there is a hint button for the ones you cannot find. The game saves your best times so you can try to beat them.
Fill-In Crosswords
A crossword where you get the answers instead of the clues. The whole word list is shown with the grid, and you have to figure out where each word goes. Words that cross each other share a letter, which helps you work out the tricky ones. You do not need a big vocabulary, just some logic and patience.
Daily Word
A daily word guessing game. Everyone gets the same secret five-letter word, and you have six tries to find it. After each guess the tiles show which letters are correct, misplaced, or absent. There is one new word every day, and the game keeps track of your streak and stats so you can watch your solving improve over time.
